the easiest way to find out if the domain name is available for purchase is to use a website such as godaddy.com. type your desired domain into the search box and click “go!” to see if it is already taken by someone else. if you need assistance looking for names or coming up with options, let us know.
how much will the domain cost?
domains will vary in price depending on where you purchase, and what type of domain it is. generally it will cost $8 - $30 per year.
what if my domain expires?
when you find a domain, you can purchase it for one or more years. the domain registrar may give you the option of “automatic renewal” if you keep a credit card on file. if you choose to manually renew, you will be notified by email from the domain company. be aware of your expiration date and try to renew a month in advance. if your domain does expire, you can usually get it back if you realize it quickly enough.

can i have email with my domain name?
yes. you can have email addresses such as jdoe@xyz.com or jane@xyz.com, as well as general mailboxes like info@xyz.com. the specific addresses are up to you.
